Death or Liberty

The speech I am writing about is the Speech in the Virginia Convention this speech was by Patrick Henry and it was to the members of the convention. The purpose of this speech was for freedom, it took place in 1775-76 in the Virginia Convention  Center. The tone Patrick was speaking in was very patriotic and encouraging, this is a very persuading speech because Patrick Henry uses very powerful points to make his statement. He uses Mythological themes such as the siren who he compares to the king. He also connect the king to biblical illusions with Judas betrayal  kiss. He also uses rhetorical questions to get the members to think. At the end of the speech Henry is very powerful, talking about the consequences and the choice they have.
